LA Pebbles on the Beach

Bands

Firstly a big thank you to the Stage Management team who were absolutely brilliant on the day. Never before has organisation been so organised. Without these guys none of us musicians would have stood a chance of finding out what plugged in where.
Well done to all of you

Thanks to all the bands who turned up (and all on time) and played their hearts out, fantastic music all day long from start to finish. You should all be proud of yourselves.

If anyone has photo's, recordings or video footage that they wish to make available then send an email to: admin@lapebbles.co.uk and we'll try and get it up on the site (or at least get a link to where you can see/hear it)

Thanks again to all of you - we hope we made your day worthwhile and enjoyable

Atombuzz

The sound of the band has progressed (regressed) from heavy metal to hardcore punk with heavy Motorhead style influences. Lyrically the band has always written about society and the things that anger them. At times the material has been viewed as comical but all the material has serious undertones despite interpretation.

Banjaxed

Banjaxed are four guys who were brought together in 2006 by a mix of coincidence, happy accidents, a reasonable quantity of Guinness and a friendly publican.
We are a four piece band and use Acoustic guitars, Mandolin, Banjo, Bass and Drums.
We play a mix of country, cajun, jigs and reels and traditional rock and roll music - and a whole lot more besides.

Also shortly before the release of the album Adam "nature boy" Hindhaugh joined on lead guitar as well as songwriting. Nakedium

Nakedium are a predominantly originals rock band from the south. Mark Lehmann (vocals) was originally the vocalist and driving force of HIT 'N' RUN who released their self titled debut in 1992. Mark then formed PUSH by employing bass player Billy Gordon (Wanted) and guitarist Paul Stenton (Willie Austen). PUSH enjoyed success with the album 'Drowning' released under Street Culture record label. In this time they appeared in countless issues of Kerrang and Metal Hammer, a top venue UK tour and a video on MTV. PUSH quit in1995.
Years passed and Mark called up Billy and Paul for a reunion "jam" in 2007. The guys got together in a room with drummer Richie Bannister (whom Mark had performed before with in Stickleback) to play old songs for fun. After minutes the chemistry between them was stronger than ever and they found themselves writing new songs. Nakedium was formed. Less than a year later they found themselves very close to supporting Bon Jovi but unfortunately it was not to be. Filled with confidence they entered the studio to record PAINT THE WORLD debut album which will be available from the 23rd August.

28 Days L8R

28 Days L8r were formed just over a year ago by a disperate group of rampant individualists who wanted to challenge the conventional wisdom about pub bands. The playlist relects the many aspects of all members of the band which has been further demonstrated as the band started to develop its own material. We can't guarantee that you will tap your feet, you might find yourself headbanging though.

The Vinyls

Originally formed in 2003 by Dan Yates and Mat Macneill, The Vinyls re-introduced themselves in 2006 with both drummer Ed Mathews and bassist Adam Cannell. With influences from Blues and Rock n' Roll and some thought and patience they emerged in 2007 boasting some seriously catchy tunes, a need for them to be played and no way of stopping!
The band found their first gigs in the hands of The Crown and The Railway Club in Littlehampton later the same year. Now in 2008, The Vinyls are looking great with a new 3 track EP, plenty of new ideas and their first Brighton gigs.

Whiteroom

The idea for a cream tribute band, as Danny puts it was, " I’ve always dreamt about being in a super band, especially one like cream where each band member gets to really play their instruments well." · And so after eight drummers and two guitarists, ‘creme-on!’ was born. The original name for the band. Other close contenders for the name were ‘natural cream’,’ cream again’ and ‘clap-cream’ ’whiteroom was the name we ended up with ’ · All three members are ardent fans of Clapton and the cream and unlike the original band, they get on really well together respecting one another’s special talents as they go along · An exciting time for them as they get better and better all the time creating a hard act to follow. · Welcome to the Whiteroom
